Google Insights For Search

Although the focus of this blog is mainstream statistics, I am also interested in analytics generally, so this is the first in a series about analytical tools available on the internet.

Google Insights For Search has been around since 2008, but I've only just come across it (from a course in Social Media at the University of Technology in Sydney).

Like a lot of these sort of tools, it offers insight and suggestion rather than statistically validated data.

The site describes itself as follows : "With Google Insights for Search, you can compare search volume patterns across specific regions, categories, time frames and properties".
