I've always wanted to have an understanding of Bayesian statistics, and see how it fits with the traditional statistics model. The problem I faced was that all the books I could find were too advanced : I was looking for an introductory text book in the style of, for example, The Basic Practice of Statistics.

Fortunately I searched "Statistical Analysis - Stack Exchange",
http://stats.stackexchange.com/questions/125/what-is-the-best-introductory-bayesian-statistics-textbook
and came across the book that I am currently reading.
The other "introductory" books on Bayesian statistics that I looked at but rejected were :
- Biostatistics - A Bayesian Introduction - George Woodworth
- Introduction To Bayesian Statistics - William Bolstad
I'm not far off finishing my first read of Berry's book, so I'll post some more comments on it soon.
